Please forgive the mud spatters, we were taking a dog out for a walk at the local beach and I decided to try and tie it in with a photo shoot :P

I am not too sure how I feel about this pattern as yet, I was hoping to leave it in my closet for awhile to "mature" but I needed a pair of shorts (kinda) to throw on today and this was what was handy :) Part of me thinks that they look alot like pyjama pants but on the other hand being so makes them rather comfy :). Also I got away without doing any proper fitting due to the fabric used- which bring me to another question: do RTW clothes cater to a larger clientele and therefore size range by using stretch fabrics? By all rights I probably should have gone up at least half a size but by using the give of the stretch fabric I was (barely) able to get away with not doing so. Admittedly it probably would have looked alot more stylish if I had of given myself more ease but what can I say, I'm an impatient sewer!
