Ain't she a beauty?
Ever since I borrowed a apple-green Sew Queen while learning to sew I have had an affinity for these beautiful enameled old workhorses.
This one has a "princess" badge on it and internet searching suggests that these were imported into Australia from Japan, then rebadged and sold through various department stores.
I love the two-tone enamel finish, the interesting dials, buttons and lettering that remind me of an old Chevy or Cadiallac. Best of all it works and sews the nicest straight stitch I have seen in a while:)
Now to somehow find some time during the week so I can sit and play!
P.S It seeems Cooper shares my love of beautiful old machines- you can see his hand sneaking up to touch it in the last photo :)
