A cushion I made up for a friend, featuring her son's wonderful batik artwork:
Two fat quarter's of white quilters cotton were used for the back of the cushion and the surrounding border on the front. Some remnant white fabric from this project provided a backing panel for the cushion cover front. I added a zip to allow the cover to be washed. I used a scant 3/8" seam allowance around the artwork as some of the design was very close to the edge of the fabric.
I added a zip to allow the cover to be removed and washed.

Apparently the young artist was very pleased with the end product and it has pride of place in his bedroom :)
Til next time....
Happy Sewing!
Kate :)
